Dr. Keith Miller is retired after an extensive career in international education. He was a member of the Senior Executive Service, serving as Senior Advisor to the Director of the Office of Overseas Schools and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations. He was President of the Association of American Schools of Central America, Member of the Board of Directors of the Association for the Advancement of International Education, and Chair of the Latin America Committee of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Dr. Miller joined the U.S. Department of State, Office of Overseas Schools in 1985 and served as the Regional Education Officer for the Western Hemisphere, Africa and Near East South Asia. During his tenure at the State Department, he oversaw Project AERO (American Education Reaches Out) which provides U.S. standards-based curricula and benchmarks in math, science, English, social studies, art, music, and foreign languages to international students.

Dr. Miller has received several distinguished awards for his service and contribution to international education such as the Walid Abushakra Award for impact on international education, Distinguished Service to Children Award from the National Association of Elementary School Principals, Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Endicott College, Paul G. Orr Award for service to children from the Association of American Schools in the American Republics, and Lifetime Champion of International Education Award from the Association for the Advancement of International Education.

Dr. Miller holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts in School Administration from Memphis State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ohio State University.
