Mr. Bernard McCabe
An accomplished teaching professional with a proven background in English education, Mr. Bernard McCabe serves as the program lead of the English as a Second Language (ESL) faculty for AUBH. He has taught at a wide range of academic levels internationally since 2008 with a strong focus on mentoring, collaboration, and innovative program designs.
Prior to his role at AUBH, Mr. McCabe spent many years of his career in many positions across the globe, such as Seoul and Daegu Offices of Metropolitan Education, Korea; University of Canberra College and Australian National University College, Australia; Saudi Academy for ARAMCO, Saudi Arabia; Salt Lake City Community College, USA; Australian Centre for Education, Cambodia; Cambridge English Centre, Bolivia; and Nasser Vocational Training Centre, Bahrain.
Mr. McCabe has been recognized for his work in implementing effective intervention and mentoring strategies for students, providing educational leadership, and developing and facilitating student training programs. At Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, he formed high-performing teams of teachers and positioned them to achieve results by investigating and identifying teacher training needs, and introducing and directing innovative training program to enrich teachers’ skills and abilities. He brings his passion for team collaboration and problem solving and incorporates them into teaching and research to support student’s academic success and preparation for professional careers.
Mr. McCabe has received a Master of Arts in TESOL and Foreign Language Teaching at the University of Canberra. He was recognized with the Dean’s Award for Excellence for his achievements during his MA studies.
